Short Biography:
Dr. Qasem Al-Radaideh is and Assistant
Professor of Computer Information Systems at Yarmouk University. He got
his Ph.D. in Data Mining from the University Putra Malaysia in 2005. He
was granted some academic awards and scholarships. After graduation, he
worked at Yarmouk University as an assistant professor in the Faculty of
IT. He obtained the B.Sc. degree from Yarmouk University, Faculty of
Science where he graduated with a major in Computer Science and
specialization in Software Engineering. He then joined the Department of
Computer Science at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at
the University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in a research master program in
the area of Natural Language Processing. He has been assigned as a
research assistant (RA) under the IRPA research program from 1991 till
1993. In 1994 he has obtained the M.Sc. degree then he joined Yarmouk
University as a lecturer in the department of computer science from 1994
to 2002.
His PhD is in the area of Data Mining particularly in Rough Set based
Classification. His research interest includes: Data Mining and
Knowledge Discovery in Database, Rough Set based Knowledge Reduction and
Classification, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Arabic
Language Computation, Information Retrieval, and Optimization Problems
and Solutions. He has several publications in the areas of Data Mining
and Arabic Language Processing.
